Special Orders & Keg Sales
Despite our best efforts, we can’t fit every worthwhile wine, beer, and cider into our humble shop. In most instances however, if you desire something that we don’t stock – we’re both willing and able to special order it for you. In fact, our experienced buying team knows exactly where to look and who to ask to source any of the tens-of-thousands of wines, beers, and ciders distributed in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Just fill out a help ticket on your account page and let us know what you want to track down!
Wine Special Orders
Please note that for some wines, our distributors require a minimum purchase of a wine when we special order it. That purchase may be 1, 3, 4, 6 or 12 bottles.
When submitting your help ticket about the special order, please provide as much information as possible, including winery, variety, wine name (if it has one), vintage (if you are looking for a specific year), vineyard designation, and importer (if you have it). Thanks!
Beer Special Orders
We are happy to help you find special draft and packaged beer! Stop by, drop us a text, submit a help ticket, or give us a call to pre-order your keg. Due to limited space, we do not keep kegs on hand but we can order whatever you want. (One pandemic note here: Kegs for some beers are currently limited and are pre-order only. These kegs may require longer wait times or not be in stock without special orders being submitted for them to the breweries.)
When you come to pickup the keg, you will need to present a valid form of ID confirming that you are at least 21 years of age. We will attached a keg sticker to each keg purchased and they should be intact when the kegs are returned. Upon return, kegs will be inspected and, if they have not been mishandled, abused or altered, your deposit will be returned. If keg deposits are charged to a credit or debit card, they can only be returned to the card to which they were charged.
If you have any questions about kegs, please contact us.
Keg Size Information
Kegs comes in a number of sizes that are based on the barrel, the standard brewery measurement. Depending on the brewery (and country of of origin), beers are kegged in various sized containers, as follows:
Please note that some breweries (or certain beers) may only be available in one size of keg.
